PlanBuild Tasmania Common Terms

Project

In PlanBuild Tasmania, a Project serves as a container that encompasses related Sub Projects. These Sub Projects are nested within the overarching Project structure. In PlanBuild Tasmania, a Sub Project acts like a file within a larger Project container

Sub Project

Each Sub Project is categorised into specific project types, such as planning, building, plumbing, TasWater or events. These categories determine the types of application types an applicant can submit within that Sub Project. Additionally, a Project can contain multiple Sub Projects of varying types, depending on the complexity of the overall Project.

Form

A form in PlanBuild Tasmania is generally an on-line application form.

However, each page in PlanBuild Tasmania can also be referred to as a form. For example, a Request for Information could be described as a RFI form.

Task

Refers to a system task within PlanBuild Tasmania, these usually include an action reference such as ‘Acknowledge’, ‘Assess’, ‘Review’ or ‘Respond’. Throughout the application’s lifecycle, multiple tasks may be triggered for relevant parties. These tasks prompt the applicant to log into PlanBuild Tasmania and provide the necessary information.

Notification

Refers to the notification a user receives in their PlanBuild mailbox on the top-right-hand of the Dashboard, a matching email will also be sent to the external email address registered for that user.

Project Administrator

The Project Administrator is responsible for creating and managing the project. This role can be fulfilled by the property owner(s) or a third party acting on behalf of the owner(s). There can be more than one Project Administrator, this can be changed once the project is created.

(Property) Owner

Owner of the property - The person(s') name that appear as owner(s) on the Certificate of Title for the property.

Help IconsHelp Icons are located throughout the system to provide additional detail to assist users in completing applications, to view select the questions mark (?) icon.
Help PagesHelp pages can be accessed from the left-hand menu bar in Application Services.
These pages will provide simple step-by-step instructions for common actions in the system.
Only help pages for action which are available to be completed with your profile will be shown.
