PlanBuild Tasmania presented at the Regional Member Forums in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie hosted by the Housing Industry Association (HIA) on 4-6 October 2022.
The focus of the presentation was the benefits to professionals in the building and construction industry and their clients of the free to use PlanBuild Enquiry service, which allows anyone to enter an address in the portal to see what planning zones and codes apply to a property. A property report can be generated which includes maps of bushfire, landslip, flooding and other information about the selected property.
HIA are strong supporter of PlanBuild Tasmania and have been advocating for project stating ‘HIA will continue to work with Government to ensure it can be used as a single electronic lodgement and planning approval system HIA will also advocate for it to be adopted by all councils’.
This event provided an excellent opportunity for PlanBuild to support not only the HIA, but to provide an opportunity for their members to earn 5 CPD points towards their Occupational Licensing requirements.
